We are no longer consuming media. We are living inside it.
Across digital, physical, and immersive environments, multimedia shapes how we feel, learn, create, connect, and engage with the world.
As media becomes the interface between people and experience, designing these systems becomes critical.
The Theme
“Multimedia Design Day positions San Diego as a leading hub where: creativity × technology × education × culture intersect through design.”

The vision
Multimedia Design Day is an immersive, interdisciplinary exploration of Multimedia Design—bringing together motion, sound, image, interaction, and emerging technologies as interconnected systems of experience design.
Not as separate disciplines—but as a unified approach to shaping human experience. This is not a traditional conference or exhibition.
It is a live, interactive environment where:
Our mission is to demonstrate how intentionally designed technology systems can enhance—not replace—human connection, creativity, and community.
— Connection & Impact through Human-Centered Design
