Networking Event After Dark, Come Light Open Mic

To belong. To feel sustained in a place, a home. Outside of our need to conceptualize and make sense of our humanity, our most innate need’s of belonging are (physiological, safety, love, esteem, and self-actualization), all cornerstones of belonging. Bringing humanity back into the design of creation (aside from what our creations have looked like when reflected upon oppression) is what informs our space. After the Dark, Comes the Light; a live improvisational on using our collective voice to rest, recharge and commune within our ground level community.

This is an Open Microphone experience to uplift and empower voices that don’t always have a place within the backdrop of America’s Finest City. Disrupting status and inviting marginalized voices that want to hear their stories reflected within the landscape around them despite the landscape around them silencing their history and liberation.

After Dark, Come Light is Quiet Storm’s highly anticipated Open Mic series. Community Guidelines go out at 6:45PM and show starts at 7:00 PM.
