Design Exhibition AIGA SDTJ — Projecting Futures
Design Exhibition AIGA SDTJ — Projecting Futures
Join us as we participate in the World Design Experience with our 4th installment of our digital showcase, PROJECTING FUTURES.
PROJECTING FUTURES looks at design and its power to bring people together. Developed in partnership with local designers and students from San Diego and Tijuana, works will be projected onto the façade of the San Diego Museum of Art* in Balboa Park featuring a range of motion design – from kinetic typography, to motion graphics, to video – and set to a soundtrack.
The special showcase takes place Thursday, September 19th, from 7:00-9:00PM with four 15-minute showings during the hour. Viewers will be guided through a dynamic design exploration through the themes of belonging and interconnectedness.
Viewing is FREE and open to the public. AIGA San Diego volunteers will be on-site to answer any questions you may have.

AIGA SDTJ x SEGD
AIGA San Diego was established in 1987 as a chapter of AIGA, the Professional Association of Design. In 2022 the Chapter expanded to encompass both San Diego and Tijuana, in acknowledgement of the unique binational culture that has evolved between designers in the Southern California and Baja region. Founded in 1914, AIGA now comprises more than 70 chapters worldwide and exists to advocate for a greater understanding of the value of design and designers in government, business and media. AIGA SDTJ has distinguished itself beyond typical professional networking organizations as an action-oriented nonprofit focused on advocacy, community contribution and impact. This is reflected in nationally-recognized initiatives such as the annual Y Conference, the Urban Art Trail, Tweet Street Urban Park, the Soviet Poster Exhibition, Contact-o Binational Exhibition and more. The organization serves the San Diego Tijuana region as the voice of design leadership, and champions design as a powerful change agent essential to the greater good of the community.
The SEGD (Society for Experiential Graphic Design) is a multidisciplinary community of graphic and exhibition designers, architects, media developers, creative technologists, and fabricators, who create content-rich and compelling experiences for a wide range of environments that connect people to place.
