Project Tour Fostering Community Connection Through Immersive Program Design
Lambda Archives’ Intergenerational Connection Oral History Project and Student Internship Program was designed to strengthen bonds across generations and foster a sense of belonging within typically marginalized communities, specifically LGBTQIA+ elders and transitional-age youth. Join us for a compelling case study of this program, followed by a program-design worksheet and collaborative discussion time.
Led by Lambda Archives’ Community Education and Engagement Manager, we will delve into the key elements that have contributed to the success of this program. Topics will include the intricacies of learner-focused program design, leading program participants in creating interactive exhibits, and designing experiences that celebrate the rich stories of our elders.
Following the case study, participants will be provided a worksheet to navigate the essentials of designing similar programs, followed by a collaborative discussion session to share ideas and feedback with peers.
Join us in this exploration of immersive program design and walk away with more tools to create intentional programming designed to foster lasting connections within your communities.
