Tijuana Design Week presents “Transborder Typeface” as an emblem of cross-border collaborative design, specially created for the World Design Capital Tijuana San Diego 2024. Designed by Diego Negrete from Tijuana and Sean Kelley from San Diego, this typeface represents a geographical union between two cities and a fusion of culture, creativity, and innovation. It stands out for its free accessibility under SIL OFL and Creative Commons licenses, reinforcing the message that design knows no borders.

Tijuana Design Week is an annual community-led festival of design which creates opportunities for interdisciplinary bridges and cross-pollination of projects through conferences, networking, talks, and celebrations — all throughout a city of constant change and transformation.
