Workshop/Demo Beyond 101: Data analysis with Dovetail

Workshop/Demo Beyond 101: Data analysis with Dovetail

Dovetail is a powerful research software platform that enables teams to analyze qualitative data like interviews or customer feedback, and create a centralized repository of knowledge. While many people use Dovetail (and similar tools) to transcribe interviews and create insights from highlights, this is only scratching the surface of what it can do. A lot of organizations are not leveraging its full capabilities. This workshop aims to change that. Bryan Rill, a Dovetail Expert, and Brie James, will show you how to slice and dice data with highlight tables, cluster on the canvas, create impactful stories from “atomic” insights, and link research to business outcomes. If you do it right, you’ll never be asked again to show the ROI of research. If you are an aspiring or practicing researcher, this workshop will help you level up.

About the Host

Bryan Rill

Dr. Bryan Rill has spent years immersed in other cultures and creative spaces. He excels at understanding how people relate to and make meaning of the world they live in, and brings this expertise to design research and practices. She’s been using Dovetail for several years across fast moving projects and knows how to get value out of it without overcomplicating the process. Brie splits her time between Portland, OR and North County San Diego. She’s here for practical workflows, thoughtful conversation, and calling out unnecessary tags.
