Máximo Escobedo is a San Diego–Tijuana–based designer, educator, and creative director with over three decades of experience across civic, cultural, and educational projects. As the lead designer for World Design Capital San Diego Tijuana 2024, he developed the award-winning binational brand identity and has collaborated with institutions including the City of San Diego, UC San Diego, and the AIGA San Diego–Tijuana chapter, where he serves as Vice President for Cross-Border Relations. His work blends visual storytelling, placemaking, and cultural insight, with a focus on projects that strengthen community connection and reflect the shared identity of our border region.
