Design Exhibition VAGARy: Unbound Construct – The intersection between Fashion, Art and Design

In the era of collapsing boundaries, VAGARy: Unbound Construct will create a Fashion, Art and Design convergence thru a cross-border art and fashion experience. Visual artists—Monty Montgomery (San Diego) and Victor Sandoval (Tijuana) will transform one-of-a-kind garments designed and sewn by fashion and textile designer Olga Cecilia into painted works of art. The finished pieces will be unveiled at San Diego Design Week 2025.

This artistic alliance invites the community to witness the power of design as a cultural conduit. By transforming garments into living canvases.

VAGARy: Unbound Construct explores how fashion and art, can foster dialogue, celebrate diversity, and spark connection across geographic and social boundaries. It is design as a platform for impact—shaping identity, expanding access, and inspiring change through collective creativity.

About the Host

Eclectique Mode by Olga Cecilia

Olga Cecilia is a fashion and textile designer with a degree in Fashion Design and a Bachelor’s in International Business. Her work is inspired by Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and global pop culture, integrating design techniques with experimental approaches thru color and fabric textures. Her designs have been exhibited at Visions Museum of Textile Art and the Baja California Department of Culture during World Design Capital 2024, as well as San Diego Design Week, the Timken Museum of Art, the Aerospace Museum, and The Prado. Through her practice, she positions fashion as a reflection of its time—socially and culturally—as medium for storytelling and impact.
