Design Exhibition Friendly Playdate for All Ages with Erin the Caterpillar

It’s time for everyone to play! Come say hello to our design friend Erin The Caterpillar, a joyful playsculpture that breaks out into gamified, functional objects. We envision an afternoon of silly fun, ignited by playful spatial design and activities, to illustrate the serious impact design can have on building connection, community, and belonging.

Unlocking our innate ability to instantly become friends with one another on the playground, playful design can guide us to be friendlier with each other, easing the loneliness epidemic we face. Our work is deeply inspired by Niki De Saint Phalle, where we learned that sculptures can have personalities, and this exhibition would feature two animated playsculptures, our design friends, that can inspire us to connect in healthy and joyful ways, and lead us towards a world in which we all belong 🙂
