San Diego Design Week is an annual five-day series of events celebrating San Diego’s diverse design community.
A citywide celebration of design
Launching in 2020, the week will include events, exhibitions, workshops, and talks featuring all design disciplines—from architecture, interior design, and landscape design to graphic design, fashion, technology, and more. Everyone's invited—join the conversation and experience the creativity that defines our region as we look ahead to the future.
Designers contribute to all aspects that make our city unique—from cross-border exchange and education to craft beer and action sports. As we imagine a path forward, San Diego Design Week explores how design influences our way of life.
How are designers collaborating across disciplines to exchange ideas and build and serve our community?

With a focus on folk art, craft, and design, Mingei aims to provide a platform to celebrate human creativity: through the exchange of ideas and examination of the processes and techniques of the many diverse disciplines of design. The Museum is permanently located in Balboa Park and is currently undergoing a major transformation, reopening in 2021.
