Design Exhibition Dual Exhibition: Arqueología en Tránsito (Archeology in Transit) / Emociones Migrantes (Migrant Emotions)
Chapter 1: Arqueología en Tránsito (Archaeology in Transit): Arqueología en Tránsito is a mobile exhibition by Monterrey Institute of Technology, exploring the human-object relationship through contemporary archaeology and design across Mexico, from Chiapas to Chihuahua. It features objects that silently narrate the migrant experience, selected for their functional design, emotional significance, and impact on users and environments. Examples include the transformation of common white plastic bottles into black ones, reflecting migrant adaptation strategies amidst increasing physical barriers at borders.
Chapter 2: Emociones Migrantes (Migrant Emotions): Emociones Migrantes, a project by Tec de Monterrey Campus CDMX students in collaboration with Centro 32, presents six interactive artifacts that metaphorically express emotional needs identified through migrant interviews. This chapter aims to foster empathy among visitors, challenging perceptions of belonging as a dynamic state. It embraces diverse migrant experiences, including LGBTQ+ individuals and various ethnic backgrounds.

Since its creation, in 2016, it is a member of numerous organizations, including the International Association of Universities and Colleges of Art, Design and Media (CUMULUS), the World Design Organization (WDO), the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA), ONU-Habitat, and the Mexican Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ASINEA).
