Join DREAMS+DUCATS for an immersive guided tour of San Diego’s newest creative learning ecosystem and discover how thoughtful design can expand opportunity.
Guests will walk through the space alongside the people who imagined and built it, exploring how every design decision – from the layout and furniture to programming and partnerships – was intentionally created to bring young people, educators, entrepreneurs, artists, and neighbors into closer proximity.
Along the way, participants will hear the vision and story behind the Dream Lab, experience interactive activities, contribute their own ideas for the future of community-centered design, and meet the growing network of creatives shaping what’s next.
Rather than asking what makes a beautiful space, this experience asks a different question:
What happens when we design spaces that help people build the future together?

DREAMS+DUCATS is a San Diego nonprofit that builds bridge connecting learning, culture, and the creative economy. Working at the intersection of K-12 career education and creative economic development, the organization partners with schools, artists, entrepreneurs, and public agencies to design spaces and experiences that help people imagine – and build – the futures they wish to see.
The Dream Lab serves as its flagship incubator space, bringing together learning, culture, and community development under one roof. Through youth programs, educator partnerships, and creative ecosystem initiatives, DREAMS+DUCATS demonstrates how intentional design builds people up and strengthens communities from the inside out.
