An immersive, interactive experience designed to be felt, explored, and shared.

“Multimedia Design Day positions San Diego as a leading hub where: creativity × technology × education × culture intersect through design.”

Multimedia Design Day is an immersive, interdisciplinary exploration of Multimedia Design—bringing together motion, sound, image, interaction, and emerging technologies as interconnected systems of experience design.

Not as separate disciplines—but as a unified approach to shaping human experience. This is not a traditional conference or exhibition.

It is a live, interactive environment where:

  • ideas become shared, embodied experiences
  • technology enhances human connection
  • creativity meets participation

A full-day, immersive environment—part exhibition, part workshop, part dialogue. This experience is designed to:

  • Initiate meaningful cultural and creative impact
  • Inspire designers, creators, and innovators
  • Educate on emerging technologies and practices
  • Elevate creative and industry leaders
  • Cultivate a curious, connected community
  • Capture moments that extend beyond the event

Scheduled Programming: Keynotes, panels, workshops, live podcasts, demonstrations, and performances exploring the future of multimedia design.

Dynamic Activations: Prompted interactions, creator-led pop-ups, modular installations, and real-time audience participation.

Extended Experiences: Select off-site and satellite programming may include:

  • Studio tours and behind-the-scenes access
  • Projection-based installations and screenings
  • Live audiovisual performances
  • Visits to immersive and interactive environments

Allowing attendees to experience multimedia design in real-world context.

Every session is free because access to professional development shouldn’t be a luxury. Design Week is a common table — come as you are, bring what you know.
