Workshop Ritual By Design
Workshop Ritual By Design
Every day, you move through design you never notice — the way you make your coffee, the walk you take to clear your head, the small things you do to mark a beginning or an end. Ritual is one of the oldest design disciplines we have, yet one of the least examined. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn to see the rituals already shaping your days, then design one on purpose. We’ll open with a short talk on what makes a ritual actually work, drawing on anthropology, behavioral science, and practices from across cultures. Then you’ll design (or redesign) your own: a small, repeatable act, and the methodology to shape more of them long after you leave. Ritual is not a productivity trick, but a quieter, older craft of shaping a life of meaning.

Kris Farren Moss is an author, coach, and lifelong student of human potential. A Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) with both an undergraduate degree and MBA from Stanford University, she has dedicated her career to helping others discover their purpose and craft fulfilling lives. Her book, Your Guide to Ritual Design: Redefine Your Day, Transform Your Life draws on her lovingly guilt-conditioned Irish Catholic upbringing and deep curiosity about how people create meaning in their lives.
When not coaching or writing, she can be found attempting to ritualize her never-ending gardening chores or seeking magic in the great outdoors with her husband and two children. Her mission is to help others harness the power of ritual to find solace and connection in this ever-changing world.
