Design Exhibition The Art of Design – Evening Reception at The Guild Hotel
Join Oram Hotels and JFiN Collective for an evening at The Guild celebrating art, craft, design and architecture. Guests are invited to experience the hotel’s newly reimagined interiors and hospitality spaces, shaped by the building’s historic architecture and original role as a place of gathering, respite and community.
The evening will feature cocktails inspired by San Diego’s creative community and the disciplines that shape it, from art and fashion to architecture and craft. Guests can explore the materials, craftsmanship, contemporary artwork and architectural details found throughout The Guild, each drawing from the character and history of the landmark former Army and Navy YMCA.
Following the day’s Design Week programming, the reception brings San Diego’s creative community together within a building that has served the city for more than a century. The evening offers a closer look at how The Guild’s history continues to inform its design and its place in San Diego today.
